Maryland Dog Trainer - Annie Schottmuller
Annie was born and raised in small town MN. At a young age she started helping her mother raise Collies and Poodles and began training her own toy poodle for 4-H obedience and agility shows at age 7.
She continued competing in 4-H and AKC obedience until high school. In high school sled dogs became her passion and she spent her free time helping a neighboring sled dog business in the care and training of Alaskan Huskies. After college Annie moved to North Carolina and began a training internship at Tarheel Canine. She spent over a year learning many aspects of dogs training including Search and rescue, bomb, cadaver, and narcotics detection, obedience, patrol, personal protection, aggression issues and behavior modification.
During her time in NC Annie trained two of her own dogs. Mingo is a certified Search and Rescue man trailing Dutch shepherd and Zombie the German Shepherd is certified in narcotics detection and currently working for a Protection Sport Association title. In her spare time Annie enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter, church activities, working with her own dogs, drawing, reading and being outdoors.
